Porsche Mission R

Mid-engined · Dual-motor electric · Downforce 4/5

A compact all-wheel-drive electric concept racer with immediate torque, strong high-speed load and substantial battery mass carried low in the chassis. It feels planted when the platform is settled, but asks the tyres to contain acceleration the instant the pedal moves.

Let the car settle before you press the pedal, and keep rotation separate from the instant torque.

Symptoms this car reads differently

Pushes on entry
The low centre of gravity does not remove the mass. Too much entry speed still overloads the front and delays rotation.
Runs wide on power
All-wheel drive can pull the car wide when power arrives with steering lock. Wait for the nose, then unwind before asking for full torque.
Snaps on exit
Instant torque makes a large pedal step a large tyre-demand step. Feed it in progressively even though there is no engine response to wait for.
Nervous at high speed
At speed the aero platform matters. If the rear becomes nervous only in fast corners, treat it as a platform problem rather than adding low-speed mechanical grip.

What this car's answers lean on

Compared with other Production cars

  1. Free changes — driving, not setup used less than on most cars like it
  2. Braking system — bias, ABS, pressure used more than on most cars like it
  3. Tyre pressures
  4. Anti-roll bars
  5. In-car driver aids and gearing
  6. Camber, toe, caster
  7. Wing and rake used more than on most cars like it
  8. Damper clicks
  9. Differential and engine braking
  10. Ride height, heave, bump stops — aero platform control used more than on most cars like it
  11. Spring rates

What you cannot change on this car

  • The differential is fixed on this car.
  • Engine braking is not adjustable on this car.
  • Total brake pressure is not adjustable on this car.
  • Gearing is fixed on this car.
  • No adjustable bump stops on this car.
  • This car has no dampers with that adjustment.
