BMW M4 G82 GT4 Evo

Front-engined · Twin-turbo I6 · Downforce 2/5

A front-engined GT4: less aero than a GT3, so mechanical grip and technique carry more of the lap. Stable when patient; the turbo torque still asks for care on exit.

Use the front to take a set, then feed torque as the wheel opens. Do not expect GT3 levels of downforce to hide a rushed entry.

Symptoms this car reads differently

Pushes on entry
Front-engined push if you arrive too fast. Trail can help, but carrying the brake too deep overloads the nose.
Snaps on exit
Turbo torque. Build throttle with steering angle.
Falls off over the stint
Rear tyre life suffers when exits are slides. GT4 windows are narrower than they look.
