T1 The Ninety •
Heavy braking · downhill right
Hard braking downhill from the fastest point of the lap into a tight right. The road drops away, so the car goes light exactly when you need it planted.
- Technique
- Brake in a straight line and respect the downhill — it eats braking distance. Rotate early so you can be straight and on power toward the Esses.
- Demands
- Braking-limited · Wants yaw on entry · Low speed — aero does little
T2 Esses Entry
Fast left · uphill
The first commitment of the Esses, uphill and quicker than it looks from inside the car.
- Technique
- Get the car settled before the crest. Everything after this is a consequence of how you enter.
- Demands
- High speed — aero is live · Wants a settled rear · Front grip limited
T4 The Bus Stop •
Chicane · aggressive kerbs
Braking from high speed into a tight left-right that lives on the kerbs, then straight back onto power for the Outer Loop.
- Technique
- Straight-line the braking, then use as much kerb as the car will absorb. Exit matters far more than entry.
- Demands
- Kerbs are part of the line · Braking-limited · Bumpy surface
T5 The Outer Loop •
Long fast right · off camber
Long, fast and downhill, loading the car for what feels like forever with the camber working against you.
- Technique
- One steady input and hold it. Every mid-corner correction costs you the exit onto the Boot.
- Demands
- High speed — aero is live · Front grip limited · Sustained mid-corner load · Degradation over a stint
T6 The Toe
Medium left · into the Boot
The entry to the Boot, taken downhill with the car still unloading from the Outer Loop.
- Technique
- Let the car settle first. Rushing this compromises the two corners that follow.
- Demands
- Wants yaw on entry · Sustained mid-corner load · Transient, not steady-state
T8 The Heel
Slow left · onto the Chute
The exit of the Boot, feeding the uphill Chute. Its exit sets your whole run to the final corner.
- Technique
- Sacrifice the apex to get straight early. The climb rewards traction, not entry speed.
- Demands
- Low speed — aero does little · Traction-limited · Exit-phase limited
T10 The Final Turn •
Long left · onto the straight
The most valuable corner at the Glen. A long opening left feeding the main straight, so exit speed multiplies down the longest full-throttle stretch.
- Technique
- Late apex, get straight, earliest possible to full throttle. Give up entry speed without hesitation.
- Demands
- Traction-limited · Exit-phase limited · Rear grip limited
